Visual Narratives in the Post-Digital Context: Sociopolitical Uses is a project exploring basic concepts about visual narratives and their relationship with new media, considering their potential to deal with sociopolitical issues in a world where digital technology is present in our everyday lives. It is divided in three parts: I. the importance of visual narratives, in which some extracts from various texts define what is a visual narrative and why they still important; II. living in the post-digital context, in which some extracts from various texts define terms such as post-digita, new media art; III. Sociopolitical challenges for new narratives, in which extracts from the previous texts (and other texts as well) tackle what kind of technological, social and political issues these visual narratives may face. The project consists in a printed publication in PDF here and a website to guide the reader through the projects mentioned in the book.
